On Saturday Aug 6 2022 while Captain Pickett was on duty working his shift when he was dispatched and responded to a vehicle accident on the interstate. Upon arrival to the accident scene Captain Pickett gave a complete scene size up and proceeded to step off the fire engine to investigate further and suddenly collapsed in the middle of the interstate. Captain Michael Pickett Jr was discharged from rehab after suffering a catastrophic life threatening medical emergency while responding to an emergency on duty Saturday August 6, 2022. Captain Pickett still has long ways to go, however in his recovery he continues to defy the odds, as he continues to make steady progress.

Fire Chief Kevin Stewart serves as the dedicated leader of the Kinloch Fire Protection District, which has been proudly established since 1936. Under his guidance, the district champions values of family, honor, and integrity, and upholds a strong commitment to community service. Chief Stewart, along with his team of chief officers and firefighters, ensures that the district maintains its mission to safeguard the community with responsive and compassionate fire protection and emergency services. The Kinloch Fire Protection District takes pride in its history and the service it provides to the community, including celebrating the contributions of veterans and upholding rigorous safety standards.
